Why Public Domain?
My motivation for narrating books in the public domain stems from a deep appreciation for Classic literature. Some of our family's very favorites that we've read together have been books none of us have read before, but just picked based on the author. They've enriched our understanding of ourselves and the world. Timeless works such as these hold immense value. While I sincerely hope that many of the modern books I narrated may one day be considered classics, Ideas, and vocabulary used in books a century old or more helps us see the world we're in today in a different light. By bringing them life through narration, I can help preserve their legacy for future generations. Also, by producing them myself, I'm allowed more articstic license that I hope brings meaing to works that may not be as obvious. Sharing these stories allows me to connect with others and inspire a love for reading, especially among those who may have difficulty accessing traditional texts.
In today’s digital age, it is essential to ensure that public domain books are available in various formats and locations. By offering audiobooks, e-books, and printed versions, we can reach a broader audience and cater to diverse preferences. Accessibility means breaking down barriers, allowing people from different backgrounds and to enjoy these literary treasures Every format serves a unique purpose, whether it’s for someone who prefers to listen while multitasking or for a reader who enjoys flipping through the pages of a physical book.
While you'll find all my public domain books available on Audible, I do all I can to make them available on as many platforms as possible. You really can find them anywhere you listen to audiobooks, including borrowing them from your public library (you may need to request my titles, but they do have access to them). I want the ideas in these books to carry on for generations to come. If you listen to audiobooks on a platform that you can't find Benny Fife Audio Classics on, let me know & I'll look into what I need to do to make them availble there. I also plan on eventually having the ability to sell them right here on my website. But that'll probably be coming in a few more months yet at least.

I'm always interested in learning from new 'old' ideas. If you've got a classic suggestion for me to narrate, I'd love to hear about it. If I decide to narrate it, I'll make sure you get a copy for yourself for free. :)
